Have you ever heard of crowdsourced storytelling? Me neither. In fact, I think I made it up. But it sounds cool. Anyway, here’s how to play:
First, you need to follow @OnceUpon140 on Twitter.
I’ll start with a tweet of a photo, let’s say of a dog. In that tweet, I’ll write something like, “Once upon a time, there was a man trapped in a dog’s body…” and add the hashtag #Upon140.
Then I’ll wait for a tweet with that hashtag that continues the story. When I see one, I’ll tweet again. And then I’ll wait for another tweet. It doesn’t have to be from the same person, but it could be. When I get something, I’ll tweet again, and so on and so forth until the day’s over.
I’ll take the story we created, post it on this blog and there you go. A crowdsourced story. And then I’ll start over again.
Each time you tweet to continue the story, use the hashtag #Upon140. It’s the easiest way to follow the storyline.
Disclaimer: I have no idea if this is going to work. I’m sure there’ll be a few glitches. But since I won’t know until I start, I might as well just get going.
